Paranjpe, who is usually in the show's ensemble, was also the Pi understudy at the show's pre-Broadway run at American Repertory Theater. ![]() This announcement is unusual because it will be the first time the role of Pi (normally played by a male actor), will be played by a female actor on Broadway.
